THEMES

We can also offer school theme productions. Maybe you want to take on Tom Sawyer and incorporate that into your history classes, your reading groups, teach the songs of that era in your music classes, and even in how you decorate your hallways. The musical is the culmination of some very wonderful enthusiasm for a special time in the history of America. On opening night with a red carpet, let’s have a riverboat band play as you enter into the auditorium. Everyone loves a good banjo! Let’s have an adventure!!

ASSEMBLIES

Loonacy can also do some wonderful assemblies. We can come to your school, take a group of hand-picked students, counselors, and parents and work with them on a current issue of your choice. As an example, we did an assembly at a middle school in Boulder, CO. The theme was bullying. The students and counselors wrote the scenes, chose appropriate music for the background, designed the set and then played the parts. As the 45 minute production played out, they realized they’d created something quite moving. The audience interacted with the actors after the performance and realized new thoughts, felt new emotions, and vowed some new changes in behavior patterns. That assembly has stayed with me to this very day.
